Training & Development

At Supreme Homecare, staff training is a cornerstone of our commitment to high-quality care. All team members complete a comprehensive induction programme before starting work, covering essential skills, statutory requirements, and organisational policies.

Our training is regularly updated to reflect the latest best practices, regulatory guidance, and quality standards. In addition, ongoing refresher courses and professional development ensure that staff remain fully competent, confident, and equipped to deliver safe, effective, and person-centred care at all times.

Induction Training

Every member of staff completes the following training as part of their induction before providing care.

Care Certificate

The nationally recognised qualification covering 16 standards of knowledge, skills, and behaviours required in health and social care.

Moving and Handling

Practical training in safe manual handling techniques to protect both staff and the people they support.

Safeguarding Adults & Children

Training to recognise, respond to, and report abuse or neglect in line with statutory guidance.

Medication Awareness

Understanding safe medication administration, storage, and record-keeping responsibilities.

Infection Prevention & Control

Best practice in hygiene, PPE use, and preventing the spread of infection in care settings.

Basic Life Support & First Aid

CPR, emergency response procedures, and first aid fundamentals for care environments.

Health & Safety

Risk assessment, lone working procedures, and workplace safety obligations.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

Promoting dignity, respect, and inclusive practice when supporting individuals from all backgrounds.
